Stitch Eraser

Our Stitch Eraser is a rechargeable, battery operated tool that can help recover garments after machine embroidery mistakes.  With 2 speed settings, it will delicately cut through machine embroidered threads so that you can remove incorrect design placement, wrong colour stitching – or any other embroidery “mistake”.

Tips & tricks get the best results:

• Work on the reverse side of the embroidery to cut through / remove the underthread / bobbin thread stitches, then carefully use your fingers / tweezers to pull the top threads away.
• Work in short movements with the eraser blade at right angles to the stitch direction
• Keep the fabric taut while using the stitch eraser (it can be helpful to have the fabric “hooped” for the stitch removal process)
• Do not press hard – just let the weight of the tool do the job
• Satin stitch will generally be much easier & quicker to remove than a tight / small / fill stitch
• Tight, small & fill stitches will generally require a bit of patience as you work through the sheer number of stitches to be removed, especially if there are multiple layers
• not recommended for towels & fleece, unless a backing has been used and is still in place (so that the blades of the stitch eraser don’t get caught in the pile of the fabric)
• not recommended for use on very fine and delicate fabrics – the blades may damage these fabrics.
